It doesn't take much to understand what's on Dead Space influenced by John Carpenter's The Thing. In fact, it would be really cool if Carpenter himself directed the film Dead Space, is not it? John Carpenter himself once again confirmed that he thinks so.

In an interview with AV Club, Carpenter spoke briefly about his work on the script for the upcoming Halloween film, and also delved into his other passion: video games. After remarking that he enjoyed the 2002 video game sequel to his film The Thing (as we did), the conversation turned to video game film adaptations.

Of course, one of the next questions was whether Carpenter would be interested in directing a video game adaptation, to which Carpenter replied: " Film Dead Space". “It would be a really great movie. I could do it." When asked which film was his favorite, Carpenter replied that “any of them” was good. “I even like the last one, the action that no one liked.”

Carpenter was asked a similar question about Dead Space almost 10 years ago in an interview with Game Informer. Then he said: “I would love to do Dead Space [film], I'll tell you right now. He's already ready."

Meanwhile, the final film in David Gordon Green's sequel trilogy, Halloween Ends, opens in theaters and on Peacock on October 14.
