The Interceptor update added a lot of creepy stuff to No Man's Sky for us to explore, most of which is limited to the playable planets of Corrupted. One of the more subtle ways to improve your traveler is with new weapons. This guide explains how to get the Sentinel multi-tools in No Man's Sky so you don't miss out on one of the most beautiful guns in the game.
How to find and purchase Sentinel multi-tools in No Man's Sky
Sentinel Multi-Tools can only be found at Harmonic Camps, which are only found on Corrupted Planets. So your first port of call is to find a corrupted planet by searching for a Dissonant system and then looking for a planet with the Corrupted Sentinels descriptor.
Once there, you need to get an echo locator. There are several ways to do this, but the easiest one is to find dissonant resonators and destroy them. These machines can be easily found using a scanner as you roam the planet. They are easy to destroy, and the echo locator will be added directly to your inventory.
How to use the sonar
The echo locator can fail, but there are ways around this. You should be able to find it in your inventory and resonate with it on the same planet you found it on. If you received a warning about local interference, you need to find the new dissonance system and teleport there before you can use the echo locator. Once you are in resonance with the subject, it will give you the location of the harmonic signal. We moved into the dissonant system and immediately used echo locator to get the exact location and find the local infected planet without having to scan every local celestial body.
Follow the Harmonic Echo Coordinates and you should find the Harmonic Base. These are long-abandoned bases filled with strange technology. They always spawn on infected planets, so you'll know you're heading to the right place no matter where the signal appears.
Harmonic Camp has a station with your new Sentinel multitool inside, but you can't get it yet. He's locked up for now. Scan the Harmonic Camp and collect all the strange resources lying around. Then it's time to interact with the yellow screen covered in blood.
This interface has several options that you can choose from. When navigating through the menu, select an option scan memory registers. As you can see in the image above, a series of text lines will appear with math equations at the end. You need to find the answers to these equations and memorize them in order. Using this example we got, the answers to remember are: 10, 9 and 5.
Next, choose an option access to the main interface, then input override glyphs. This will take you to a screen where you must enter three glyphs corresponding to the numbers from your equations. We entered the glyphs in order from top to bottom on the input screen. This will give you access to two Harmonic Camp secrets as well as a bonus item.
The first thing you get after entering the glyphs correctly is the Aeron Turbojet visual upgrade. This can be added to your traveler in your appearance modifier. By interacting with the yellow screen again, you can deactivate Multi-Tool printing and grab the Sentinel Multi-Tool from the nearest tool bench. There are several different ones in the game, so look for more Harmonic Camps if you need a different multitool than the one you found.
You can also find Spikes of Dissonance that will point you in the direction of the crashed Sentinel Interceptor. You can repair this ship and add it to your fleet if you wish.
