When you defeat him, you will unlock the "Online" option on the Battle Flag. But the "Invasion" option will still be grayed out. This is due to the fact that PvP in Wo Long' Fallen Dynasty unlocked when you defeat Zhang Jiao at the end of "Yellow Sky Demon's Heart", a mission in the second part of the campaign.
After that, rest at the battle flag and re-enter the online section. This time, the "Invasion" option will be available. You can access it to find players that allow the invasion. Choose any player you prefer and then you will enter his world. Your main goal is to find and kill the master of the world. If they have followers, they must be killed too. In return, you will receive rewards, which are in-game currency. Don't worry about the enemies; they will not attack you when you are in an alien world.
