The famous French DJ and music producer David Guetta spoke positively about the music created by artificial intelligence. He recently used artificial intelligence to add Eminem-style vocals to the song.

AI will be the tool of the musicians of the future

The well-known David Guetta admitted that he recently used two artificial intelligence sites (a more powerful version of this algorithm is being developed by Google) to create the lyrics of an Eminem-style rap song. While Guetta has no intention of releasing the song commercially, he believes it is a good example of where music can go in the future. He expressed his opinion at the Britt Awards, where he received the award as the best producer.

I am sure that the future of music lies with artificial intelligence. That's for sure. There is no doubt about this. But in the nature of the instrument. […] every new style of music comes from new technologies.

AI helps, but nothing can replace humans

Guetta compared artificial intelligence to musical instruments, which in the past revolutionized the way people think about music with their appearance. According to him, there was no rock and roll without an electric guitar, acid house without a bass synthesizer, or hip-hop without a sampler. Now artificial intelligence must make its impact on the music world, opening a new era in its history.

However, the French producer noted that nothing can replace the sense of taste that defines an artist. The special emotions and taste that a creative person puts into a work is more important than the ability of artificial intelligence to generate harmonious sets of sounds. This is similar to the dilemma of authorship, similar to the dilemma of creating graphics with image generators.

Artificial Eminem

Last week, Guetta tweeted a video of an Eminem-inspired snippet of the track. He admitted that the segment was created as a joke, but "it worked so well that I couldn't believe it." Eminem has not yet commented on this issue.
