Outlast Trials closed beta testing is ready to open a unique game in the genre to the players survival horror. Outlast Trials is a multiplayer twist on one of the best horror games on PC; The original Outlast gained massive popularity thanks to scream-filled playthroughs from some of YouTube's biggest names, including Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and PewDiePie. Now the game is back in co-op format, with developer Red Barrels launching its long-awaited closed beta test ahead of Halloween weekend.

Outlast Trials closed beta runs from October 28 to November 1, and allows players to check out the game's initial tutorial level, the game's lobby (known as the "Sleep Room"), character and room customization options, and one of the game's challenges, the police station with Chief Deputy Leland Coyle. Although The Outlast Trials is billed as a co-op game, you can take on the challenge alone if you decide to experience the horrors alone.

If you're not feeling brave enough to go it alone, you can join a team of up to four players, and Red Barrels notes that the game will compare your scores with your friends "so you can compare your scores to other test subjects... sorry, players." Studio co-founder Philippe Morin says: “We look forward to welcoming players to Murkoff's Signal this Halloween. The closed beta is an early look at what players can expect from the full game next year, and we look forward to hearing feedback from our test subjects as we help us bring this all-new Outlast experience to the finish line.”

In the game, players will take on the role of test subjects in a shadowy Cold War facility, undergo tests of physical and mental will, and survive in one piece. You can check out the closed beta trailer below:

Outlast Challenges will be available on Steam и Epic Games Store - If you would like a chance to participate in this and future testing, you can request access to playtests on the game's store page Steam.
