Warzone 2 bug 2012 fix

The first thing you need to do is check Activision online services page to confirm that the Warzone 2 servers are currently experiencing issues. If you're still getting the 2012 error, try the following:

  • Go to the game launcher (Steam or Battle.net) and make sure Warzone 2 is not running in the background.
  • On Battle.net, click on the gear next to the big blue button that says "Play" and click on "Scan and Repair." Likewise, in Steam you need to right-click Warzone 2 in your library and go to Properties. From there, go to the Local Files section and select Verify Integrity of Game Files.

If this does not help, you may be experiencing network issues. This can be eliminated by releasing, updating, and deleting DNS information. Here's what you need to do to make sure your network isn't causing the Warzone 2 2012 error:

  • Click anywhere on the desktop and use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + R to open Command Prompt.
  • Type 'ipconfig /release' and press Enter.
  • When a confirmation message appears, type 'ipconfig /renew' and press enter.
  • Wait for the second confirmation message and type 'ipconfig /flush' at the command prompt.
  • A final confirmation message should appear giving permission to close the command prompt.

After completing this process, you should be able to launch Warzone 2 without the 2012 error message appearing.
