FIFA 23 keepers make incredible corner saves, showing off their incredibly quick reflexes by twisting like Neo from The Matrix in EA's soccer game

FIFA 23 keepers have the reaction speed of Neo from The Matrix. Players of EA's latest soccer title have been posting tons of funny videos on FIFA Reddit and other social platforms of goalkeepers making incredible penalty saves. The latest installment in the FIFA series was released on September 30, and our FIFA 23 review reports that it held up most of the way, but still managed to get a few shots on target in the 90 minutes.

One of the fun trends that players have started to notice as they dive into this year's game is the incredible reflexes displayed by some keepers, especially when taking the dreaded free kicks. Several videos posted on FIFA Reddit and other platforms show goalkeepers diving in the wrong place, only to change their body position and reach the other way to parry at the last second.

User tomfumtarn shared a video on the FIFA subreddit showing goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi's amazing reaction. Initially, when the kick is taken, Gulacsi begins to dive sharply to the right (from the point of view of the penalty taker - to the left). However, as the ball flies towards the bow bag, Gulacsi suddenly plants his feet and, displaying almost superhuman agility, rushes back in the opposite direction to parry the ball.

Other users posted similar videos, and the players in the responses say that the same thing happened to them. Some users say that while driving the goalkeeper on their own, they took the wrong direction to dive and the goalkeeper managed to lean back to make a save.

The game's first update has arrived, including a tweak that "reduces the accuracy of free kicks when the Composure Ring is yellow or red," making perfect penalty kicks even more difficult without worrying about the player between the posts getting up to incredible antics.
