In the Summer Game Fest 2022 trailer, we see the main character walking outside, heading towards a building that looks like a surveillance tower. Meanwhile, we hear a somewhat villainous voice-over telling our hero that his old life is over and his new life is “entirely in my hands.” After that, the trailer shows zombie-like monsters, spider monsters, worm-like monsters, face-eating monsters... good luck surviving.

Action The Callisto Protocol, set in the year 2320, is set on one of Jupiter's moons: Callisto. More precisely, the action takes place in a rather nervous penitentiary called the Dark Iron Prison. You take on the role of Jacob Lee, one of the prisoners.
Unfortunately for Jacob, the prison falls into chaos after many of his fellow prisoners begin to turn into terrifying monsters. Now he must try to escape. During his journey, Jacob will uncover the dark secrets hidden behind the unimaginable horrors of the Black Iron Prison.
The Callisto Protocol is described as "a mixture of horror, action and gripping storytelling." The game only features a single-player story mode (no co-op) with a third-person perspective.
As you can see from the gameplay above, the flashlight and health injectors are likely to become your new best friends. Interestingly, terrible creatures are not the only danger in the abandoned prison. Even your surroundings—in this case, giant fans—seem to work against you. Luckily, for those who love stealth games, there seems to be room for a more stealth-centric gaming style.
According to the official website, every encounter with an enemy puts the player in a life or death situation, so you will use any means available to tip the scales in your favor. The battle uses both ranged and melee weapons, as well as a unique gravitational weapon, previously used by prison guards. The latter appears to have appeared in the gameplay footage above. But, Schofield later clarified , that "Callisto Protocol" will no longer be part of the PUBG storyline as it has "grown into its own world." In other words, the universe and plot of The Callisto Protocol will be completely unique. However, Schofield promises a few little surprises for fans, perhaps pointing out some PUBG Easter eggs.
