The release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is getting closer, but exactly when it will take place will depend on several factors. When will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 be released?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Early Access Starts October 20 at 10am PT / 13pm ET / 00pm BST on all platforms. Again, this phase of early access is only available to players who pre-order the game.

Activision now brought some clarity , so here's what it all looks like. On October 19 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST, players who pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be able to begin pre-loading the campaign in preparation for the Early Access period that begins the next day. This time will be the same no matter where you are - on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam or Battlenet.

Things are splitting up a bit for the full game pre-download, which starts on October 26th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST for PC players. Console players will be able to preload the full game a week early.
