Overwatch 2 has a variety of skins that players can earn in Blizzard's FPS game either through the Free and Premium Battle Pass, Free Events, or through Twitch Drops and Overwatch League View Rewards. The problem is, many players are reporting that despite having enough Overwatch League views to earn a few in-game skins, they can't, and since cosmetics play such a huge role in players' self-expression in multiplayer games, wasted time hurts even more. .

So let's first quickly understand how it works. Players who watched the Overwatch League Playoffs and Grand Finals will be able to earn a large number of character skins within three hours of watching (if they link their Battle.net account), and in-game Overwatch 2 skins and other cosmetics will be released on November 15, 2022 or Later".

However, for many this never happened. The official rules state that you have until December 31, 2022 to redeem all rewarded skins before they disappear (fine print, mind you), and that makes sense. Give players enough time to redeem their skins as soon as they receive them. However, there is a problem here: if you don't have skins now, despite following the Overwatch League, you will never be able to get them.

According to a screenshot of a Blizzard support message, these items could be earned between October 30 and November 4, and the items themselves were scheduled to arrive on November 15. But as user Hohoho-you points out, the Blizzard support message also states that "if you still haven't received the cosmetics, then you weren't eligible to receive them."

Hohoho-you claims that they were eligible for rewards after "35+ hours of watching" the Overwatch League for Overwatch 2 skins, but it appears they will never be able to get that time back.

Personally, you shouldn't go to an event expecting a reward, but if it's advertised (and if you watch it before 30 hours), you should get what you came for. Otherwise, it's just another example of how you escalate the situation among the players for no reason.

Judging by the comments, this Overwatch 2 skins issue related to the playoffs and the League finals looks like an absolute mess. Some received later awards but not early ones, and vice versa, while others watched quite a lot, but were rewarded as if they watched very little, and still did not receive any awards.

There are several theories, but they are not encouraging, to be honest, they just highlight what is potentially a broken system. It could be that the thread is not an active tab when it's enabled, or that you opened the thread before it officially started and it doesn't count once it's started until you refresh it. Or, what I like best is simply because YouTube sucks compared to Twitch.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you're getting all of your skin rewards in Overwatch 2 at this time, and that's just not fair. You can find relevant Overwatch 2 Blizzard Email on Reddit.

With the release of the second season of Overwatch 2, even more skins will appear in the game, but I doubt that they will fix the situation. In fact, Blizzard made another mistake as the original description of the new hero Ramatra's ult was pretty wrong. In the meantime, why not check out our list Overwatch 2 levels.
