Blizzard has announced that Diablo 4 Early Access Weekend and Open Beta will take place in March.

Those who spent money on the game before its release on June 6 will receive early access to the open beta on March 17-19. Next weekend, March 24-26, everyone will be able to get into the open beta, regardless of the status of the pre-order. The game will be available on PC, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

During both weekends, you'll be able to explore the early part of the game, including the prologue, the entire first act, and the first zone, Fractured Peaks.

During testing, your level will be limited to 25, but you will still be able to continue playing in the beta. Since this is a beta version, be aware that not everything is finalized yet, and you may experience performance issues, outages, and some things that may break. But that's what beta versions are for, to test the game.

Upon release, Diablo 4 will feature cross-platform play and progression, as well as co-op play on consoles at launch.

The most brutal vision of Sanctuary, according to Blizzard, shows that the demon Lilith and the angel Inarius are bitter enemies who have resorted to war against each other. Since Sanctuary has been overrun by demons, it's up to you to save it by choosing one of five classes - druid, rogue, sorceress, barbarian, or necromancer.

Debuting in the Diablo universe is the outside world, in which you will exorcise the demons of hell in various zones, such as the Shattered Peaks, Scosglen, Havezar, Dry Steppes and Kehjistan.

The non-linear game also includes 140 dungeons, side quests and lots of loot. World bosses will spawn and you'll have to defeat them in groups for a chance at loot. There are also fortresses that need to be captured by the inhabitants of Sanctuary.

There is an end game system in which you will continue to grow in strength through challenges. The game features Helltide, a regularly occurring event that leads to a spike in demonic activity. The game also features challenging Nightmare dungeons, an updated Paragon Board system, Whispers of the Dead giving legendary world rewards, and Fields of Hatred for creating PvP.

Diablo 4 is available for digital pre-purchase as a Standard Edition ($69,99), Deluxe Edition ($89,99), and Ultimate Edition ($99,99). Pre-ordering not only allows you to get early access to the Diablo 4 open beta, but also various bonuses depending on which version you are acquire.
