According to a longtime player Destiny 2 and a member of the Elysium clan, holder of three World's First raiding titles, a loot delay error in Destiny 2 breaks the FPS game and should be fixed before the release of the upcoming Lightfall expansion.

"I don't think this is discussed enough, but we really need the lag/missing loot bug to be fixed before Lightfall." Saltagreppo shared via Twitter.

“I would say this is one of the most devastating bugs in this game,” he continues in a subsequent tweet.

Saltagreppo details the issue, noting its impact on common activities such as Gambit, Wellspring, Ketchcrash, and Grandmaster Nightfalls. Typically, these activities contain a high density of enemies, though it's not clear if this is the cause of the problem.

The problem is that sometimes players who complete these tasks face a delay in receiving their rewards. Even if the screen shows that a mission or task is completed, the game considers the task incomplete if the player exits the task before the rewards are received. In some cases, such as Gambit, the delay lasts so long that players do not receive any rewards before the game automatically kicks them out of the match. The game then erroneously imposes a "walk-out" penalty on such players, usually reserved for those who leave team activities mid-match.

In the case of Grandmaster Nightfalls, the problem is that quickly clearing checkpoints can lead to a soft lock on the game, preventing normal progression or, in some cases, depriving players of the triumphs or quest objectives they rightfully deserve.

This issue is similar to another recent situation involving Haunted Lost Sectors, currently playable as part of the Festival of the Lost event. Players are reporting that leaving an event too early causes it to not count towards completion, preventing progress towards event-related triumphs.

Saltagreppo also notes that the problem seems to be getting worse, suggesting that data overload may be the cause of these problems.

Member of the Elysium clan, holder of three titles of the first world raid and one title of the second, also often tries to solve complex problems in Destiny 2. Among them are the accelerated passage of the Grandmaster of Nightfalls and the passage of the King's Fall raid with three people, and not with a full team of six players.

The title "World First" refers to the members of the first team to complete the raid after its initial release. Saltagreppo's team took first place in Destiny 2 King's Fall, Vault of Glass and Vow of the Disciple.
