The ending of Halo 2 is iconic. Master Chief's line "Let's finish this fight" might go down as one of the coolest moments in a video game, let alone an FPS game. We should count ourselves lucky because Halo 2's ending was almost completely different, and an incredibly dedicated fan has just finished animating all the previously lost storyboards, giving us our best look at the original ending.

This colossal feat was accomplished by YouTuber C3 Sabertooth, who turned all of the storyboards of the original narrative into a series of videos lasting around three hours, with the final video recently released.

The project was only made possible by former Bungie developer Lee Wilson, who shared a wealth of storyboards and artwork from the then-early development of Halo 2 and Halo 3 that C3 Sabertooth used to complement the original Halo 2 story (via Windows Central).

If we talk about projects developed by fans, then this project is definitely on top. C3 Sabertooth used voice acting, sound effects, music, and even dynamic transitions to bring all of the comic book-style storyboards to life. C3 Sabertooth also provides a lot of great context regarding the actual storytelling and story of Halo in between the storyboard segments you create.

Some of the lines even voice lines from other Halo games, further highlighting the legitimacy of this Halo 2 ending reconstruction. C3 Sabertooth's YouTube Check out the channel for all the other Halo 2 original story videos if you're in the mood for some popcorn.
