Dying Light 2 has made big changes to the formula set by the first installment in the zombie series, adding new features and removing a few others. One of the latest was the crushing x-ray effect you saw when you stunned an enemy: with the right hit, you activated the slow mode and saw the skeleton of the infected crushed by the impact of your weapon. This feature will be coming to Dying Light 2 with Update 1.7.2, which will be available to play on November 10 along with the upcoming Bloody Ties story DLC.

Developer Techland says this is the "first phase" of the effect, and is asking players to go out there, "break some bones" and provide feedback so the developers can make it "landmark" for Dying Light 2 as well.

The Dying Light 2 1.7.2 update brings a lot of changes and fixes in addition to adding the x-ray effect. There are many fixes for crashes and stretched clothing and textures, as well as some significant gameplay changes. The nights will be much darker and howler indicators should display correctly. You will also find that viruses have improved hearing and become more responsive to certain sounds they pick up.

Full patch notes also includes a detailed list of crash fixes, clipping fixes, and other bug fixes coming with Dying Light 2's next big update.
