Want to make Bethesda's Skyrim RPG look even better? We are currently working on a Skyrim mod that will add Nvidia DLSS and other scaling capabilities to the legacy open-world game, with support for the VR version of the game going forward. One YouTuber showed off the improvements in a video so you can get a glimpse of what's changing in Tamriel.

Nvidia DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is an AI upscaling tool developed by Nvidia for its own series of graphics cards, which allows the game to run at a higher resolution than would normally be allowed, resulting in a cleaner looking game overall.

The Skyrim mod will also support FSR2 and XeSS - supersampling for AMD and Intel graphics cards respectively - so if you don't have an Nvidia GPU, you can still take advantage of supersampling.

Below you can watch YouTuber Mern's video talking to the people behind the Skyrim mod that adds Nvidia DLSS support.

This is possible because Bethesda left the dynamic resolution code in the Skyrim base game so modders can access it and use it to add things like DLSS to the fantasy game. Mern also notes that a similar method could be used for DLSS in Fallout 4 if the same code is found there.

A mod for Skyrim that adds DLSS and other scaling methods from modder PureDark can be found at GitHub. It will work for the Special Edition and Anniversary Edition, and VR support is also being worked on. If you watch Mern's video and check out GitHub, you'll find everything you need to know about getting this Skyrim mod to work.
