Minecraft is getting a new expansion and it's a Dungeons & Dragons campaign featuring monsters, classes and locations from the famous tabletop RPG.

In it, you can choose a class, unlock classic spells, and perform ability checks as you explore iconic locations and fight monsters like beholders, mimics, and more.

It all starts with a D&D board game and then takes you to the Forgotten Realms, where you'll see recognizable locations from Icewind Dale and the Sword Coast.

You can choose a class and become a barbarian, paladin, rogue or wizard, each with special abilities or powers that can be used in real-time combat. You can level up, increase your performance, gain new abilities, and use various items of equipment and equipment. It's all organized using a menu system to manage everything from skills to inventory.

Among the monsters are contemplators (I hate these creatures!), displacer monsters, golden dragons, gelatinous cubes, mimics and others.

You will make contact and interact with NPCs as you explore and travel between different cities and villages.

NPCs can be interacted with in a number of ways, and you may need to roll a d20 to see how successful your choice will be in attacking, persuading, or other interactions.

The Dungeons & Dragons expansion is approximately 10 hours long and will release for Minecraft this spring on all platforms.
