Diablo Immortal clans torn apart during the recent Diablo Immortal server merger will be forced to rebuild their shattered factions on their own. Blizzard has apologized to affected players by offering them a compensation package, which, much like Diablo Immortal's recent gem compensation, has left RPG players rather depressed.

Following the appearance of planned server merges, several clans reported that their group had been completely disbanded. These included members of the Shadow Clans - high-ranking units who participate in Diablo's Shadow War of the Immortals and the corresponding Rite of Banishment for a chance to take the place of the ruling faction of the Immortals on the server. While it was generally accepted that the introduction of server merges would mean tougher competition for first place, players did not expect to be kicked out and have to create their clans completely from scratch.

A message , posted by one of these affected players, details Blizzard's response. It states that the problem was the result of "unexpected errors that caused the disbandment of your Shadow Clan" and apologizes for the inconvenience caused. However, instead of offering a solution to the problem, the message simply continues: "I call upon you and [your] team to reconvene to defend the Sanctuary." Includes one regular gem, two (non-eternal) legendary crests, one heavy chest, 300 scrap and 30 enchanted dust.

It's certainly not the most exciting compensation package, especially considering that trying to rebuild a clan that could have up to 100 players is potentially quite a daunting task. One player notes that while any compensation is better than nothing, many reports from players who were removed from their clans say that affected players are still unable to recover due to issues related to the same error. Others note that these tiny compensation packages seem "more insulting than no compensation at all."

It's not all bad news, though: Early reports of Diablo Immortal's new set-building feature, coming along with the server merge, have been mostly positive. Blizzard SinfulScribe Community Manager also explains that the team is working to minimize the cases where the English-language patch notes lack the description of key details that are included in the equivalent Chinese-language blog.
