Another Dead by Daylight map is getting a Realm Beyond treatment in the next major update. The Red Forest, which is home to the Plague and the Huntress, is getting a big update in the horror game's next update, and developer Behavior Interactive has shared some beautiful screenshots of the makeover. The update will also make some changes to bonuses, and maps will not be repeated several times in a row.

The Red Forest update, according to Behaviour, will preserve the visual style of the map and the corresponding story of both assassins, as well as bring the visual design in line with other maps that the developer has updated and modernized over the past few years.

A new card repeat prevention feature will exclude the current card from the list of possible cards if no suggestion was used to save it, Behaviour reports. This applies to every player in the challenge: the next map will not include any of the maps that the players in the group last played on, and those maps will have a reduced chance of being played in the next few matches as well.

The update will also include some changes to perks - in particular, the Eruption perk, which will receive a fairly significant nerf. Behavior says the perk was too powerful not to select, and it heavily impacted solo players who were unable to warn their teammates working on the generator to avoid being incapacitated.

Developer says it's changing eruption и generators lose 10% of current progress, rather than 10% of total progress, and that the perk will no longer apply an incapacitated status to survivors who are repairing a generator when it explodes. Instead, these survivors will scream and give away their positions to the killer for 10 seconds.

Recent ones developer messages are also reporting some additional perk changes as well as plans for new outfits.
