Interested in learning more about Overwatch 2 heroes? Overwatch 2's release date is just around the corner, and Blizzard's sequel to the hero-based first-person shooter will feature both returning characters and new faces. Since the content will be used in Overwatch 1 and 2, all original Overwatch characters will be listed. New heroes will join them at launch, with more to come in the new seasons of Overwatch 2.

Three new characters will join the ranks of Overwatch 2 heroes at launch. Overwatch 2's new free-to-play model is expected to include nine week-long seasons, and Blizzard says it plans to add a new hero to the roster with each new season. Therefore, we can expect a new hero to appear approximately every eighteen weeks starting from the second season of the game.

Unlike the first game, where all heroes were available to all players, now you'll have to unlock future Overwatch 2 heroes from the game's Seasonal Battle Pass. The characters will be on the free track, starting with the support character Kiriko, who appears at rank 55 of the first season pass. Here's everything we know about Overwatch 2's new heroes.

New Overwatch 2 Heroes:

  • Stay (DPS)
  • Junker Queen (Tank)
  • Kiriko (Support)

Sojourn - DPS

The first hero featured for Overwatch 2, DPS hero Sojorn is a deadly, nimble damage dealer who uses his Rapid Fire primary weapon to charge a deadly hit-scanning Railgun attack that can single-shot some opponents with a well-aimed charged headshot. .

Her powerful slide gives her the ability to quickly reposition herself and can be combined into a Super Jump for extra mobility, while her Disruptor Shot slows and damages enemies caught in its area of effect. Her Overdrive ultimate quickly charges the Railgun for high-damage repeat shots that can wipe out an enemy team in seconds.

The hero of Overwatch 2 is Junker Queen, a feisty, muscular Aussie with a tall blue mohawk and ripped crop top, grinning while brandishing her signature knife.

Junker Queen - Tank

Hailing from Australia, the Junker Queen joins Roadhog and Junkrat on the list with her brash, aggressive style. The first new tank in Overwatch 2, designed with overhauled 5v5 gameplay in mind, the Junker Queen boasts a brash playstyle that revolves around her passive ability to heal herself by inflicting wounds on her opponents that deal damage over time.

The Junker Queen's sawn-off shotgun is deadly at close range, and her quick hand-to-hand combat uses a serrated blade to injure enemies. Alternatively, she can throw it out and pull it back to pull opponents closer, where she can hit them with her powerful Carnage ax for serious damage.

Her Command Shout grants her and nearby allies a large temporary bonus to health and movement speed. Junker Queen's ultimate, Rampage, dashes forward through enemies, dealing damage and injuring all enemies on impact and placing an anti-healing debuff on them so you can easily finish the job.

Overwatch 2's hero, Kiriko, a turquoise-haired woman wearing a red and black ninja outfit with fox ears on her headband, crouches with one palm on the floor in a "landing pose" and looks forward.

Kiriko - Support

Kiriko, the latest hero announced ahead of the release of Overwatch 2, is a support ninja who can teleport to allies - even through walls - and throw Healing Ofuda charms that will seek out teammates, or cast Protective Suzu that makes an ally short time invulnerable and clears them of all negative effects (including Sombra's Hack, Ana's Biotic Grenade and Sleep Dart, and Mei's Blizzard).

Kiriko is no fool herself - her thrown kunai don't deal huge base damage, but they do have a huge 3x headshot multiplier that can allow her to surprise enemies and destroy them. Her ultimate, Kitsune Rush, sends the fox spirit Kiriko into a dash forward, increasing the movement speed, attack speed, and ability cooldown of all friendly heroes in its path.
