Roblox profile pictures are now being extended to mobile devices, meaning players no longer have to use the default avatar expression as their profile picture. Robloxians now have the ability to customize their avatar images, allowing them to “pose” according to their emotions in the sandbox game.

The option allows players to choose from a selection of emotes to help stylize their avatar images. If desired, they can purchase additional poses. Robloxians can scroll up close or scroll backwards to get a half-body shot of their avatar.

If players update their avatars after taking and saving a profile picture, the picture does not change until the player updates and saves the new picture.

Since users can now change the size and shape of their avatars' profile picture, in the future, players can expect much more variety in appearances when scrolling through their friends list.

Roblox profile pictures have not yet reached all mobile users. Like many other tech companies, Roblox often releases features to a small group of users who can test them, which helps the company deal with bugs and feedback. As a rule, such companies will distribute the feature to the entire platform if the implementation went smoothly.

PC players who do not yet have this option can update their Roblox profile photos, but this can only be done by editing the codebase. Youtuber KreekCraft shared the process in a recent video. However, Roblox does not recommend doing this, as editing the codebase may affect other features of the platform.

If you want to check if you have an update, be sure to update the Roblox app on your mobile device to the newest version.
