The Lost Ark Reaper's release date is almost here, with the advanced class joining Deathblade and Shadowhunter as the third assassin option in the RPG. Reaper uses the ability to shift into two additional modes during combat - the stealth Persona mode, allowing you to attack from the shadows, and the fast-paced, high-damage Chaos mode, allowing you to go loud and proud.
When is the release date for The Lost Ark Reaper?
The Lost Ark Reaper release date is November 16th. The class has three categories of skills: Dagger allows the Reaper to use the deadly blade, Shadow allows deception, camouflage and mobility, and Swoop allows the Reaper to unleash devastating attacks that are greatly enhanced in Persona mode.
In normal mode, your Persona gauge will replenish over time and as you use skills against enemies. When it's full, you can press the button to enter Persona mode, causing a shadow illusion that will distract enemies and put you into temporary stealth. While in this state, you gain 30% extra movement speed and cannot be spotted by enemies until they are within four meters of you. You will remain invisible until your gauge is depleted or you attack, although movement and stance skills will help you remain undetected. If you stay longer in Persona mode, you apply a buff up to five times every second that increases the damage of Swoop skills by 25% for each buff applied.
If you don't want to take on the shadow instead, you can continue fighting while your Persona gauge is full to replenish your Chaos gauge with every dagger hit and Shadow skill. When it is full, you will enter Chaos mode, gaining an additional 15% crit, 10% movement speed and 10% attack speed for 9 seconds. Using the Shadow skill or hitting enemies with Dagger skills resets the duration, allowing you to remain in Chaos mode as long as you continue to fight. When the timer runs out, you will return to full Persona gauge.
You will also have the opportunity to use two class engravings to enhance her abilities. The Hunger Engraving focuses on Chaos mode: in Chaos mode, you charge your Chaos meter 30% faster and increase your attack power by 25% at level three. The Moon Voice engraving replaces Swoop buff stacks with a flat buff, giving you up to 160% bonus damage in Persona mode at level three.
Reaper of the Lost Ark Skills and Engravings
Dagger skills
- Nightmare - Throw a dagger at a target to cause damage. Use the skill again and teleport behind the affected target if there are no obstacles between you and the enemy. Movement speed +10% for 2 seconds after teleportation.
- shadow vortex - Gather strength and pull enemies towards you, causing damage. Use the skill again to deliver a powerful spinning strike that deals damage.
- catching spirit - Quickly lunge forward to deal damage, then dash 4 meters in the same direction and unleash a final attack that knocks down enemies, dealing damage to them.
- Spinning Dagger - Move 5 meters forward, throwing daggers around you to deal damage, and when you land, deal damage to the enemy.
- piercing blade - Land 2 sharp thrusts to deal damage. Use the skill again to deal 2 more hits for damage. Airborne opponents are lifted back into the air.
- Summon Reaper - Madly slash enemies in front of you, attacking them 4 times for [Dark] Damage.
- ghost dancer - Spin in the direction of the target and move 5 meters, causing damage to opponents. Use the skill again to move another 5 meters, pushing enemies away and attacking them for damage.
- Scythe of death - Quickly move 3 meters to the target and deal 2 scythe blows to enemies, taking damage. Use the skill again to make another lunge and deal damage, knocking down opponents.
Shadow Skills
- Distortion - Summon the darkness of warped space to quickly move 10 meters forward, damaging enemies in your path. When you land, deal extra damage to enemies in your path. Ignores encounters with adventurers and Guardians.
- Summoning a Knife - Summon the Reaper's Blade at the target location, dealing Dark damage to enemies within a 3 meter radius. The enemy's movement speed is temporarily reduced. The Reaper's Sword pulls enemies towards it, dealing damage, and explodes, dealing Shadow damage. Movement Speed Debuff can be applied up to 5 times, causing temporary fear in enemies at maximum application.
- Storm of Shadows - Move 2 meters forward and deal damage with your weapon, then summon shadows to viciously slash and slash your enemies, damaging them over 10 hits. Use Flurry all the way to move 6 meters forward and deal Damage. Cancel Flurry midway to deal Damage. Airborne opponents are lifted into the air upon impact and thrown back.
- double shadow - Summon a shadow clone at the specified location, which lasts for 6 seconds. Use the skill again on yourself and your clone to throw a shuriken at the target, dealing [Dark] damage.
- black mist - Hide behind the dark shadow at the target location and attack enemies as you move. While the skill is active, all incoming damage is -20%. Deal damage, and with 4 stacks, cause fear to enemies for 2 seconds. When moving, ignores collisions with adventurers and monsters.
- shadow trap - Summon a shadow trap at your current position, then move 6m back, detonating a shadow that damages enemies within 3m and stuns them for 2s.
Swoop skills
- glowing stamp — Disappears in the air and moves up to 8 meters to the target, after which it deals damage and throws the enemy into the air.
- Spear of Fury - Collect red shadow energy and throw it forward to damage and paralyze enemies within a radius of 8 meters.
- Dance of Fury - Collect red shadow energy to quickly move forward, dealing damage. Deal extra damage to enemies in the air. Strike again for damage when you return to your position.
- Silent Fury - Jump 3 meters back and gather dark energy to launch yourself forward, damaging enemies and knocking them down as you move. When moving, it ignores collisions with adventurers and ordinary monsters.
Hunger engraving
- Level 1 — Chaos counter +30%. Atk. Strength +12% when the chaos meter is full.
- Level 2 — Chaos counter +30%. Atk. Strength +18% when the chaos meter is full.
- Level 3 — Chaos counter +30%. Atk. Strength +25% when the chaos meter is full.
Lunar voice engraving
- Level 1 — Swoop Damage +120% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect, which stacks every 1s when switching to Persona Mode.
- Level 2 — Swoop Damage +140% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect, which stacks every 1s when switching to Persona Mode.
- Level 3 — Swoop Damage +160% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect, which stacks every 1s when switching to Persona Mode.
reaper arrives in Arcesia along with two progression-based events that will help level up your character's items. The first is the Punika Powerpass, obtained after completing the quest "Berwer's Friend" in Punika. The Hyper Express event allows you to assign one character from your roster between item levels 1302 and 1445 to receive a large level boost and honing materials to help them quickly reach level 1445.
