We will soon know the release date for Baldur's Gate 3, developer Larian Studio promised. The role-playing game developer announced that it will share the planned release date for Baldur's Gate 3 during the Panel from Hell stream set for December. At the same time, according to the studio, by the end of the year we can expect the release of a new patch adding new features to Baldur's Gate 3.

Larian hasn't announced a specific date for the Panel from Hell holiday event yet, but when it does, you'll be able to find out when Baldur's Gate 3 will actually release (you can also count on a high level of silliness - Larian really fits into the spirit of these events). The developer says that story acts 2 and 3 are currently being actively tested, with a full launch still planned for next year.

Patch 9 for Baldur's Gate will also arrive in December, and Larian says it will include "additional features," without specifying what those features might be or when exactly the patch will release - the patch and Hell Panel are expected to release around the same time.

In addition, Larian shared some images of his new motion capture studio in Guildford, which is impressive in size and can supposedly record a dozen mocap actors at once without breaking a sweat. There's plenty of space there too - 14 by 12 metres, making it Larian's largest mocap suite (others are installed in studios in Ghent, Kuala Lumpur, Quebec City and Dublin).
