I wonder what the ending of the movie Godzilla and Kong: New Empire is about? Godzilla vs. Kong: New Empire is another kaiju battle from director Adam Wingard. This time, Godzilla and Kong don't fight each other, but rather join forces to fight a threat emanating from the depths of the Hollow Earth. A group of people, including Monarch leader Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall), borderline podcaster/conspiracy theorist Bernie Hayes (Brian Tyree Henry) and jack-of-all-trades "Trapper" (Dan Stevens), become embroiled in this caper. After the release of the film Godzilla and Kong: A New Empire, you will find out how the battle for Hollow Earth and regular Earth ended.
The Secret History of the Titans Revealed
Andrews' group becomes embroiled in the events of Godzilla & Kong: New Empire when her adopted daughter Gia (Kaylee Hottle) begins having mysterious visions that correspond to a series of seismic tremors on Hollow Earth. After Bernie confirms that they are connected to every major event on Titan, Andrews sets off on an expedition to the Hollow Earths. There they discover that Jia is not the last of the Eevee tribe, as previously thought. There is also a faction of Eevee who have lived in the Hollow Earth since the beginning of time, using its natural crystals to manipulate gravity and telepathic abilities to communicate.
The Eevee also chronicle the history of the Titans, including the Kong race. The Great Apes protected humanity, and the Titans protected nature, maintaining the balance of life. But the great ape known as "King Scar" wanted to control both the surface and the hollow Earth - and to do this, he used crystals to manipulate the subarctic kaiju known as Shimo. Kong first encounters other apes when he encounters an ape named Suko, who leads him to the domain of King Scar. Kong and King Scar fight, but Kong is critically injured when King Scar unleashes Shimo on him.
Another Titan Returns in Godzilla and Kong
Godzilla and Kong aren't the only major Titans to appear in A New Empire. Gia learns that she is special among the other eevees because she has the power to awaken Mothra. The Eevees used their powers to communicate with her and also attracted Godzilla and Kong to the Hollow Earth to fight the Scar King. Gia manages to awaken Mothra just as Kong is sent to the surface. This seems like a suicidal move - after Godzilla vs. Kong, both Godzilla and Kong remained in their own domains, knowing that if either of them trespassed on the other's territory, all-out war would break out. Luckily, Mothra manages to convince them to return to the Hollow Earth, but not before they land a few good hits on each other.
One king falls, two kings rise
With the help of Mothra, Eevee and Monarch, Godzilla and Kong manage to defeat King Scar. It helps that both Titans have an advantage in the fight: Godzilla absorbed excess radioactive energy, resulting in a new form with neon pink spikes. On the other hand, Kong - literally - acquired a massive metal gauntlet as part of Monarch's Project Powerhouse, which helps him heal from Shimo's attack and also gives him the strength to fight the other Titans. After the crystal King Scar uses to control Shimo is shattered, the Ice Titan turns on his former master and freezes him to death... while Kong shatters him into a million pieces. Godzilla returns to his home in the ancient Colosseum in Rome, and Kong, along with Suko and Shimo, are sent back to Hollow Earth. Thus, he becomes King of the Apes and finally "King" Kong.
