Looking for information about who Georgia killed and why in the second season of the series Ginny and Georgia? Netflix's Ginny & Georgia, starring Antonia Gentry and Brianna Howey, gave viewers what they always wanted. In the idealistic town of Wellsbury - a la Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls - Ginny and Georgia try to find their place in their new lives. Fleeing her murderous past, Georgia moved her children to Wellsbury to live the life she had dreamed of since she was 15, when she met Joe (a younger version played by Yatharth Bhatt) at a bus stop.

The charm of small town life draws viewers in, but it is the emotional stories and the suspense of the murders that overtake Georgia that keeps viewers hooked on the story. Ginny, who has always felt like an outsider, struggles with a racist teacher, an ignorant group of friends who brush off or outright ignore her mistreatment, and a mother who she feels does not understand her and constantly overshadows her. Wellsbury is her new start, but details of Georgia's past come back to bite them both and threaten their new lives, especially with private investigator Gabriel Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.) determined to make Georgia pay for her crimes.

Who did Georgia kill in Ginny and Georgia Season XNUMX?

Who did Georgia kill?

Although Gabriel missed his chance to make Georgia pay for the murder of Kenny (Darryl Shaylar), whom she poisoned after he inappropriately molested Ginny, he finds a new angle: The disappearance of her first husband, Anthony Green (Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll). We know from season one flashbacks that Georgia poisoned Anthony after the wedding to get back custody of Ginny and prove she was responsible, but Anthony was super controlling and generally obnoxious due to the unacceptable age difference between them. But Gabriel again fails to figure out Georgia's past with Anthony, as Anthony's case has long been closed because the Georgia biker gang made sure he could never hurt her again. So Gabrielle is trying to turn Ginny against her mother again in the recently unveiled second season, but this time she won't buy it. Ginny has grown since the first season to understand her mother much more, especially after learning quite a few details about her mother's extremely traumatic and unfair past, such as her abusive stepfather. However, he gets new ammo when Georgia commits another kill.

At the end of the first season, Georgia and I learned that Cynthia Fuller (Sabrina Grdevich) had a dying husband at home who had fallen into a coma. That's partly why she puts all her energy into an unsuccessful mayoral candidacy, as her home life is emotionally brutal and she's struggling with the loss of the love of her life and trying to help her son Zach (Connor Laidman) get through this tough time. This allows Georgia to sympathize with Cynthia, but their rivalry continues into the second season as neither woman can stand the other. In subsequent episodes, her husband goes further and further, but his body has not yet completely given up. At times, Cynthia wants everything to be over, because the loss of her husband causes her much more pain than his death.

Who did Georgia kill and why?

Later in season two, Cynthia and Georgia come to a point where they are on the same page and put their rivalry aside. It all starts when Gil (Aaron Ashmore) starts giving Georgia a hard time and returns to his old abusive ways. Cynthia catches them arguing outside the school when she is waiting for Zack and breaks off to help Georgia get away from him. (As we later learn, Cynthia was already in similar toxic relationships before she met Tom). Georgia is grateful that Cynthia intervened because Gil is the only person she fears due to their terrible past. When Georgia later stops by Cynthia's house to pick up Austin (Diesel La Torraca), the women drink and Cynthia lets go of her burden, explaining how painful it is to watch her husband slowly die. Soon after, Cynthia is ready to call it a night and goes upstairs to find the boys so Georgia and Austin can leave. While she's gone, Georgia sneaks into Tom's room and kills him by covering his face with a pillow. But the worst thing is that Austin secretly sees all this, hiding in the closet in the room, because he was playing hide and seek with Zach.

At first everyone decided that Tom had died himself. This was a long time coming, so it was a bit of a relief for Cynthia, albeit an incredibly difficult one. However, when Gabriel learns that Georgia was present when Tom died, it becomes clear that he suspects what happened that night. And given his history, we know he's going to get to the bottom of this. Although we don't know exactly how he proved it, in the Season 2 finale, "Ginny and Georgia," the police burst into Paul (Scott Porter) and Georgia's wedding only to arrest Georgia for the murder in the final minutes. As she is taken away, Austin screams that he didn't tell anyone and chases after the car, leaving Ginny to come to terms with the fact that her mother killed another person - this time an innocent one.

Why did Georgia kill Tom Fuller?

Ginny and Georgia Season 2 Who did Georgia kill?

In the case of the murders of Anthony and Kenny, it is very clear why Georgia killed them. She did this to protect herself and to protect her daughter, respectively. These were the “good” murders that Georgia didn’t think about, the only complications in her mind arose from Gabriel’s investigation. So Georgia's murder of Tom came as a surprise. Everything we know about Tom comes straight from Cynthia's mouth, and she declares that her husband is one of the best men on the planet. She is tormented by the fact that he dies before they can spend the rest of their lives together. According to the writer, this is why Georgia did what she did, although it has not yet been fully explained in the series.

Cynthia showed Georgia a kindness that very few people show. Despite their rocky relationship and tense history, Cynthia intervened when Gil molested and physically hurt Georgia in the Austin school hallway. She showed Georgia understanding and empathy for what she was dealing with. Throughout her life, Georgia had shown so little kindness and mercy that she wanted to repay Cynthia for helping her. The fact that Cynthia felt so strongly about the situation with her husband gave Georgia the idea to end her suffering and give her the opportunity to finally and completely mourn Tom. Georgia had killed before, and she had no doubt that she could end Tom's life, since he had no chance of recovery. According to Georgia, in this way she returned the debt to Cynthia and returned her kindness.

Ultimately, it's a sad but brilliant way to show how Georgia's mind works. She went through so much, endured so much abuse, but she still found a way out. All Georgia wanted was to end her past so she could move forward to the next step, which is what she tried to do by telling Paul the truth about her past (without murder) before their wedding. She wanted to be happy and move on, so she wanted to share that with Cynthia. It's heartbreaking, but it will also be incredibly interesting to see more of Georgia's thoughts on how she justified herself and what Cynthia's reaction was if the series is renewed for a new season.
