Looking to escape the facility and defeat the Krauser boss in Resident Evil 4 Remake? We will help you! After encountering some regenerators in Resident Evil 4 Remake, we'll finally be able to track down Ashley and be able to continue with the main escape mission.
However, Leon needs to do something before we can get off this ungodly island. Nothing is easier than just finding a boat and leaving!
In the next chapter, we will continue our escape, but we will have to fight with a comrade-turned-enemy, Krauser. Here's our Resident Evil 14 Remake chapter 4 walkthrough and an explanation of how to escape the Object and how to defeat Krauser.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 14 Walkthrough
After you find Ashley in the holding cell in chapter 13 and let the sleeping beauty wake up at her own pace, open your map.
There's a hole in the wall above the containment chamber through which we can send Ashley upstairs. She will then open the gate here.
Ahead you will find the Merchant again! After guiding it through, go through the blue double doors in this room to reach the cargo warehouse.
There is another request in the cargo depot to destroy the blue medallions.
The blue gate ahead is locked, but you can jump down the stairs to the left of it. Take care of the Ganados and go up the stairs in Facility 2.
How to escape a facility in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In Facility 2, head straight up the stairs and order Ashley to hold the lever shown below. There are more ganados here, so it might be worth removing them first, depending on how confident you are.
You can then jump over the ledge next to the lever and go through the open door right in front of you.
Go left and open the door so Ashley can go through. Then return to yourself and go up the stairs. At the top, go right and through the next door.
Jump into the water here and crouch under the pipes. Go right and then out of the water again.
Here you will need to order Ashley to pull one of the levers at the same time as you, so that two arrows are in the red part of the counter above the door.
The real problem is making sure you hit the hint at the right time, and it's always a little earlier than you expect.
The Regenerator will appear in the next room. However, once you take care of him, he becomes an Iron Maiden. This particular enemy has a new weak spot in his head, but you should keep your distance; they are prickly and cause a real explosion.
Once Iron Maiden is dead, pull the lever to the next door at the same time as Ashley. You will now find yourself in Waste Management. There is a third rat extermination quest here called More Pest Control.
In this room, approach the wheel and order Ashley to turn it. This will raise a bridge that Leon can run across.
Cross the bridge and keep to the left until you find the power control lever shown on the map below. As soon as you pull this lever, enemies will appear.
So, you need to race back to Ashley and across the bridge as fast as you can. Otherwise, you might get stuck and Ashley might get kidnapped again.
After redirecting the power, go to the nearest electric lock terminal. This is the same as the electric lock terminal puzzle we completed earlier, with a few extra steps. Once again, we need to make sure the power reaches all the "+" symbols here, as well as the center one.
The solution to this puzzle is shown below!
Go through the gate and crouch to your left. Ahead, we will meet the Merchant again.
When you're ready, go outside and jump down. Get Ashley too. Now we're back at the freight depot and Ashley is about to show us how good she is at handling a ball joint and a crane.
After the cutscene, interact with the crane and Ashley will jump inside. Now she will take on all the hard work while Leon fends off Ganados.
There will be many ganados, insects, and even a cow ganado to clear while Ashley tries to break the wall. I recommend the shotgun for most of this horde, but the pistol is pretty nifty to take care of any rogue bugs.
Soon the wall will be broken, and we will be able to pass through it. Interact with the control panel to lower the elevator.
Take the elevator up and go through the blue double doors ahead. In the amber pantry, interact with the amber.
After a rather intense cutscene, Ashley is gone again. Exit the room through the large door that Saddler led Ashley through.
Walk down through the campsite at your leisure. There are a lot of interesting things related to Krauser!
When you're ready, head forward to the battlefield that Krauser has prepared for us, stopping at the Merchant along the way.
How to beat Krauser in Resident Evil 4 Remake
The battlefield prepared by Krauser is definitely something. When the fight starts, be aware of the grenades he fires at us. When he reloads, shoot him with a rifle or pistol.
It will soon disappear, which means that we need to get through this battlefield. There will be tripwires everywhere, bear traps, turrets and a lot of surprise attacks that we need to try to avoid. In the next area, the door will be locked.
Climb up to find a wheel we can turn. After turning, the locked door below will now be open.
The Krauser will continue to spawn in this next part of the battlefield. Instead of trying to fight him, keep pushing. When you get to the open area, expect more grenades to be fired at us.
Try to get close to the Krauser here while dodging the grenades. When you pass through the gate, you will fight him face to face.
This time weapons are allowed! Fight Krauser as if he were any other NPC you need to squash, but be sure to dodge his knife attacks when prompted. You can also lure him into nearby tripwires if you want to save ammo.
When prompted to melee attack him, do so; Leon's movements during this fight are very cool. However, Krauser will soon disappear again.
After this cutscene, you will find yourself in the dark. Literally. The path from here is straight, but Krauser will try to attack us. Dodge when prompted and don't try to fight him off just yet.
Once outside, head up the stairs to reach the real boss fight arena and the mutated Krauser in Resident Evil 4.
This fight is long but relatively easy. Just like in the original, we will be spending a significant amount of time pressing the hint to avoid Krauser's attacks. The rest of the time we must keep our distance from him and shoot.
If you get close, you can use your knife to parry any slash attacks. If you're lucky, you'll also be able to melee him after a successful parry. Also, don't try to shoot while Krauser is covering himself with his arm, unless you manage to get behind him.
After three successful melee attacks, Krauser will no longer be around. He will also leave his trusty knife for our dear newcomer Leon. Everything is very sad.
A bridge will be lowered next to Krauser's body. Keep going, and alas, chapter 14 will be over!
