This guide will walk you through every step you'll need to take to get your hands on Winterbite's Exotic Glaive. Destiny 2, including all quests and steps to complete them.
How to Get the Winterbite Exotic Glaive in Destiny 2
Before you even think about getting these exotics, you need to complete Lightfall. Once you do that, you will be able to complete all sorts of quests after the campaign. This includes the "Unfinished Business" quest, as well as Quest "The Last Strand" after a whole bunch of farm Strand Medallion.
When you finish the campaign, you will see a quest marker in the Hall of Heroes. First you need to complete the introductory quest: Welcome to the Hall of Heroes. His steps are:
- Step 1 - Interact with 8 consoles on the Hall of Heroes tour.
- Step 2 - Visit damaged memorials
- Step 3 - Scan remaining memorials
- Step 4 - Return to the Archivist
Basically, this is a lore quest that will quickly guide you through the history of Neomuna. It doesn't take long at all: the real work comes later.
Once you complete this quest, you will find that five important memorials have been broken. To get Winterbite, you will have to fix them all. You will start with the Astrologer.
Stargazer Destiny 2: passing the Lightfall quest
Below are the next steps in the Stargazer quest, along with some tips on how to complete them if you're having trouble.
In the first step, you need to pick up the chest at the end of the Terminal Overload event. To start it, head to the Neptune map and look for the diamond symbol. As soon as you queue up for it, you will be teleported to the venue of the event.
You will need a decent amount of other players to help with this. Therefore, if you find yourself alone, we recommend that you try again later.
In the second stage, you need to defeat the Vex Hydra in the Esy Terminal. This part is easy, just track the quest on the menu and then follow the waypoints to the Esi terminal. In the end, you will face the Hydra and a bunch of other enemies.
For the third step, you need to get the Terminal Overload key by following the steps in Neomuna. It can be anything from patrols to public events. We recommend moving around the map, completing all current public events, and scanning patrols, as they are very fast.
In the fourth step, you need to take this key and use it to open the locked chest at the end of the terminal overload event. Just like last time, queue up for terminal reloading through the Neptune map. Once you've completed it, be sure to search both chests: the free one and the locked one.
For the fifth and sixth steps, you just need to return to the Hall of Heroes. First interact with the memorial to repair it, then return to the archivist. After that, you will be able to accept the next quest needed to get the Winterbite exotic: Maelstrom.
Passage of the quest "Whirlpool": Destiny 2: Lightfall
The first step of the Maelstrom quest requires a bit of work. You need to establish a connection with the sources of the strands and participate in the protection of Neomuna through actions. Let's start with the steps, as this is the easiest half of this part. Simply comb Neomun and participate in patrols and public events, however don't worry about scanning patrols as they won't count.
As for linking to the sources of the strands, you will need to track them all over the city of Neomun. While they spawn in set locations, they don't spawn all the time. As such, you either need to roam around the location of the strand source or keep an eye on it during your journey through Neomun. You can identify them by the star symbol that appears on your display when they are near you.
If you are looking for two specific sources of strands, we have added two images below. The first is located in Lyming Harbor under the letter L on the map, the second is in the southwestern part of Lyming Harbor.
For the second step of the Maelstrom quest, you need to complete the lost sector of the Vex Incursion Zone. You can find this Lost Sector north of Liming Harbor, on the second floor of the big yellow room. Jump through the vent and you're done.
The third and fourth steps are incredibly easy. Just go back to the Hall of Heroes, repair the monument, then talk to the archivist.
But we're not done yet! We have one more quest to complete before we can start the real exotic quest for the Winterbite Glaive. This one is called Bluejay and you can finish it by following the steps listed below.
Passage of the Bluejay quest: Destiny 2: Lightfall
Step one starts with you talking to the Nimbus. In the second stage, the quest does require some work. First you need to open the locked chest after the Terminal Overload event. As before, make sure you have the key by following the steps in Neomun and then search the locked chest at the end of the terminal overload event.
You also need to kill the Annoyance in the current Annoyance Invasion Zone. You can tell which zone it is by looking at the blue lines falling down on the map.
Things get more interesting in the third part. This will be your first experience of participating in the section. It's a race against the clock where you have to defuse bombs before they explode while dodging all sorts of enemies on the way. The trick is to keep running forward and not get too caught up in killing each enemy. Pull out heavy weapons when you need to clear a path to the bomb.
After you complete the Partition Event, complete Parts XNUMX and XNUMX by returning to the Hall of Heroes, repair the memorial, and speak with the archivist.
Exotic quest "Strider" / Destiny: Lightfall
Finally, we get our exotic quest: Strider. Once we finish this, we can get the Winterbite exotics. You take this quest from the Archivist, in the Hall of Heroes.
At the first stage, you visit the archivist. Step two is a big one, requiring three days of work. You need to spend the keys on a chest with Terminal Overload Keys in each of the three different areas of Neomuna. This will require you to complete and open the Key Chest in Terminal Overload in three spins, as the location of the event changes in each area of Neomuna.
In the third step, you must kill the Shadow Legion cabal to get the location data, and then go through the Lost Sector of Ahimsa Park to get the data cipher. To do this, we recommend going through The Lost Sector first, as it will do both tasks at the same time, and then moving on to multiple combat patrols or public events to complete the location data.
Steps four and five are easy, just go to the archivist in the Hall of Heroes, then interact with the memorial. In the sixth stage, you go to Maya's hideout. Once there, kill the marked annoyance and interact with the confluxes in the area.
Finally, on the seventh step, talk to the archivist in the Hall of Heroes. Once you've spoken to the Archivist for the last time, you'll receive the Winterbite Exotic Glaive in Destiny 2! It was a long journey, but it was worth the wait. Exotic is great. Have fun!
