Korean giant Nexon seems to be on a wave of big gaming announcements. The last one this week was warhaven, a 16v16 multiplayer action game with some familiar and not-so-familiar gameplay twists. As befits a Korean game, Warhaven is visually impressive, especially when compared to some of the games it's inspired by.

Warhaven looks mostly like a For Honor game, albeit with more players, more objectives, and some fantasy elements along with the standard hand-to-hand combat.

The game is centered around objective modes in which four squads of four players try to face the enemy team using various weapons on the battlefield, advance into the territory and get into an old school brawl. There are six classes to choose from, each with unique combat advantages and a different visual style.

So far, everything is standard, but what is interesting in Warhaven is that by accumulating points, you effectively accumulate an ultimate counter. When you have enough points, you can transform into an Immortal and use your divine abilities to develop fantastic abilities. You will find four different Immortal forms that you can take on.

If any of these are your thing, you might be happy to know that Warhaven's global beta is about to begin. The PC-only test will run from October 12 to November 2. To participate, just request access on Warhaven's page Steam.

It's a beefy package too, with four maps and three different modes to check out. The developers have recently live gaming session which offers a good look at various mechanics, classes, maps and modes.
