FFXIV Manderville Weapon were finally added to the game after patch 6.25, in keeping with the tradition of the relic weapon format. For players less familiar with the MMO game, relics are usually the most powerful weapons one can have in Final Fantasy XIV. In addition, they are updated throughout the expansion, increasing item level and visual stats, making relics always viable.

All this power comes at a cost, however, because the relics are locked behind a specific quest chain and will require a certain level of dedication on your part to complete them. To help you take the first step on this exciting - and long - journey, we've put together this guide with everything you need to know to get your hands on the Manderville weapon from FFXIV - as long as you're not too busy at your island sanctuary.

FFXIV Manderville Weapon

FFXIV Manderville Weapon prerequisites

Before you can begin the process of obtaining a relic weapon, there are a few initial steps that you must go through. Otherwise, you will not be able to start the Weapons of Manderville quest. The first - and easiest part - is that you must have completed the main scenario quest "Endwalker" and have at least one level 90 quest.

The second requirement you must meet is completing Hildibrand's sidequests. They have been in the game since A Realm Reborn - with the exception of Shadowbringers - and have become a favorite of many FFXIV players.

Listed here are the quests you need to find in order to complete the Hildibrand quest chain. Keep in mind that you won't be able to start Hildibrand's side quests until the last main scenario quest of each expansion has been completed.

  • "The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen" (Ul'dah - Steps of Nald - X: 9.8 Y: 8.7). To unlock it, you must complete "Ultima Weapon" in A Realm Reborn.
  • "A Gentleman Falls, Rather than Flies" (The Pillars - X: 5.9 Y: 9.9). It becomes available after completing the main scenario quest "Heavensward" and Hildibrand's quest "Her Last Vow".
  • "A Hingan Tale: Nashu Goes East" (Kugana - X: 10.6 Y: 9.8). To open it, you must complete the main scenario quest “Stormy Blood” and Hildibrand’s quest “If I Could Turn Back Time.”
  • "The Sleeping Gentleman" (Radz-at-Khan - X: 11.8 Y: 11.2). To unlock this quest, you must complete the main scenario quest "Endwalker" and Hildibrand's quest "Don't Do the Dewprism".

How to get the Manderville Relic Weapon

Once you have completed all of Hildibrand's quests, it is time to begin the quest to obtain the Manderville Relic Weapon. To start the process, you first need to go to Radz at Khan and find the NPC House Manderville Manservant (X: 11.8 Y: 11.2) next to the main Etherite, with whom you will receive the quest "Make it a Manderville". Pay attention to which task you activated when you received the quest, as this will determine what weapon you will receive at the end of the quest. In other words, if you receive the quest as a Reaper but complete it as a White Mage, you will still receive the Reaper Relic.

After going through several dialogues and cutscenes, you learn that to create the relic weapon you will need three Manderium meteorites, which must be delivered to Gerolt (X: 12 Y: 7). This is a special material that you can't find anywhere except from Jubrunn (X: 12.1 Y: 10.9) - the NPC who sells them in Radz-at-Han. Each one will cost you 500 Allagan Astronomy Stones, earned by completing tolls and roulettes. Once you have them all, simply complete the quest to receive the Manderville Relic Weapon!

Also, if you need a different relic weapon for a different job, that's not a problem. All you have to do is start the quest again by talking to NPC House Manderville Artisan (X:12 Y: 7) but now with the quest you want to get the weapon for.

Now you know how to get the Manderville weapons, make sure you fully master the island sanctuary animals and the collection mechanic.
