Looking for information about the Razer RTX 4090 gaming laptop? Razer is gearing up to launch a new line of gaming laptops featuring Nvidia RTX 4090 GPUs and 13th Gen Intel processors. While the Razer Blade 18 should lead the portable power battle, the Blade 16 has an impressive mini LED screen that is effectively two monitors in one.

Navigating the seas of the best gaming laptops can be hectic at times, especially if you're looking for versatility. Of course, if you buy an ultra-high-end machine like the upcoming Razer Blade 18, you end up with something that can probably replace your frail desktop PC. However, if you like some games at higher resolutions, but need a lower screen to play high-speed 1080p esport, you'll often be forced to choose between the two, resulting in a degraded experience.

The Razer Blade 16 is a high-end solution that boasts a "world's first" dual-mode mini-LED display. Instead of sticking to a specific native resolution, it can switch between 4K 120Hz and 1080p 240Hz, meaning you get two types of panels in one gaming laptop body.

Some players may not experience resolution drop on a 4K display, especially if you're not aiming for higher fps at high frame rates. However, we always recommend adjusting the game settings according to the screen's native characteristics, as this will prevent image deterioration and eliminate the need to increase the resolution. The ability to switch between two different refresh rates is also a big advantage, as even the mobile RTX 4090 GPU won't be able to deliver enough frames for 240Hz in any scenario.

Unique switching superpowers aside, the Razer Blade 16 and 18 use the same mini LED technology, and it can be a great replacement for OLED. We're talking 1000 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR 10 support, so performance should be on par with organic LEDs.

As mentioned above, both models feature an RTX 4090 mobile graphics card paired with an Intel Core i9 HX processor, with DDR5 5600MHz memory serving as the cherry on top. As always, with more power comes greater expense, and the base model Razer Blade 16 costs $2699,99. The Blade 18 will cost a little more at $2,899.99 USD, but you'll miss out on the dual-mode screen we've been craving.

The new Razer Blade duo should be available in Q1 2023, so be sure to keep an eye on our Web54 site for updates.
