Kiriko's bug in Overwatch 2, which allows her to go beyond boundaries in several of the game's FPS maps, can still be used in combos with Mei's ice wall after the frosty hero returned to the game in the latest Overwatch 2 update. Due to a number of persistent bugs with May's ice wall caused Blizzard to temporarily shut down May for two and a half weeks while they fixed a number of issues. However, Kiriko can still team up with her - along with other heroes, including Wrecking Ball - and break the game in a variety of ways, which has led some fans to question why this issue with one of the best support heroes isn't currently being addressed.

Among the challenges posed by Mei's Ice Wall is one that allows it to be used in conjunction with Kiriko's Quick Step Teleportation skill to gracefully jump over the geometry of some Overwatch 2 maps and into otherwise inaccessible locations. It appears that despite Mei's rather lengthy absence, which was supposed to solve all currently known issues, you can still jump off the map by jumping towards her as Kiriko while she is on top of her ice wall. The video below shows the glitch in action on the last stretch of Dorado.

Players have reported that a similar bug that occurs when teleporting in Wrecking Ball to certain locations on multiple maps, such as certain stairs in the new Paraíso and Colosseo maps, is still present in the game. In some cases, this method can be used even while in the spawn zone, allowing Kiriko to hit the walls and then switch to another hero.

All of these ongoing issues have left some players wondering why Blizzard hasn't cut Kiriko from playing Overwatch 2, given that she appears to be a key contributing factor. However, it's worth noting that other issues with Mei also contributed to her removal, so this glitch was most likely not the only reason. However, some have speculated that Blizzard may not want to remove Kiriko as she is the game's newest hero and is part of the Overwatch 2 Season XNUMX Battle Pass.

“There’s a bug in Kiriko’s ability,” one user said. notes in the thread about the original error: “I can’t disable it because there is a skin in the store.” Another player responds by suggesting that “she is the main reason most people buy the battle pass. They don’t have the courage to turn off the real problem.” Another topic says that"The OW team doesn't do a very good job of fixing bugs, only tackling them when they become catastrophic." This is definitely something the community will be watching closely to see how Blizzard reacts.
