How to open chests with eyes in Hogwarts Legacy
To get past the eye chests, you need access to the Disillusionment spell, one of the unlockable spells Hogwarts Legacy. Although Disillumination makes your character invisible, you can be noticed if you're not trying to be sneaky. Alternatively, you can use invisibility potions, but Disillumination is much more useful as it doesn't cost Galleons and you always have access to it.
As long as you walk slowly and try not to look at the chests with your eyes, you should be able to get the galleons without being noticed. Don't worry if the eyeball appears to be staring right at you - if you cast Disillusionment outside of the eyeball's line of sight, the prompt to unlock the chest should appear when you get close to it.
Unlock the Disillusionment spell at Hogwarts Legacy
Disillusionment can be obtained by completing the quest "Secrets of the Forbidden Section of the Library" Hogwarts Legacy. In this main quest you will go on a journey with a character Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow by sneaking into a closed section of the library. The closed section contains a chest with eyes if you want to immediately test your sneaking skills with Disillumination.
